Bombay Sapphire Premier Cru Murican Lemon Gin is a clear spirit I have been eyeing for a while in the local liquor store. I was hesitant to buy it due to the smaller 700ml bottle size versus the price, but I am glad I took a chance.
This expression was released in 2021 and is infused Fino lemons from Murcia, Spain. There is also some mandarin and sweet navel oranges added to bring out a fresh citrus flavor. It could be expected that a lemon flavored gin would be gimmicky, but it is not.
I enjoyed this Bombay expression in a gin and tonic and it was excellent! I strongly recommend using a high quality tonic such as Fever Tree and DO NOT add any fruit or peel to your cocktail. The infused lemon/orange flavor is all you need.
Priced around $40 for a 700 ml bottle and absolutely worth the money and was a good gift for my father in law on Father’s Day.
